Family History

By | January 16, 2006

Maybe it is just because I graduated with a History Major…  (Well it was combined with a Political Science major… but we History majors knew what we were) but I am finding my Dad’s genealogy study very fascinating.  He had finally put up a website on it.  This is great for me, since I have only been able to catch a little time here and there to get some of this explained by him.  (The graphical representation also helps lay out what he has already told me about our ancestors.)

So I for one will be keeping an eye on the progress there… and of course assist where I might be useful in the techie field.  (Of course I am sure my Dad will tell  my fiancee that there will be a quiz on  the information presented on his site lol.)

I was a bit confused there for a sec. It appeared your heritage started with no women… then I realized dotted lines indicate skipped people. Isn’t there family tree software that makes more readable trees than that? It looks like he was trying to fit it all on one screen but boy it would read easier if it was spread out horizontally more. Anyways cool stuff.
