MS Office Live Beta launches. Where’s Office?

By | February 15, 2006

Official news release.  But where’s the office? I don’t know about you but when I think of Microsoft Office, I think Word, Access, Excel and the like.  So shouldn’t Office Live be online versions of those apps?  We aren’t the only ones that thought so. Kent Newsome thought the same. Heck, even Microsoft’s own Robert Scoble thought so.

Aside from the surprising lack of what we all accept as Office applications, Office live looks to be a pretty nice service.  An online hub aimed at Small Businesses that allows for a domain and email services, Office live is pointed in the right direction.  Jake and I happened to receive a couple of beta keys and will be testing Office live over the next few weeks.  We’ll put up a review as soon as we get a good bearing on how it all works and how well it works at the beta stage.
